Waive

If you do not want the Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2025-2026 plan year, you must decline or opt-out of coverage by submitting a waiver. You must access your account via the activation link received prior to logging in. Check your Creighton email for an email from [email protected]. Students who cannot locate this email should contact [email protected] for assistance. 

You may only opt-out of coverage during the following Waiver Periods:

DNP, M3, & M4 Students

Fall - 05/01/2025 - 09/05/2025

Spring/Summer - 12/15/2025 - 01/23/2026

All Incoming Freshmen 

Fall - 06/01/2025 - 09/05/2025

Spring/Summer - 12/15/2025 - 01/23/2026

All Remaining Students

Fall - 07/16/2025 - 09/05/2025

Spring/Summer - 12/15/2025 - 01/23/2026

In order to waive from the student health plan, your plan must meet the following requirements:

  • National Coverage for inpatient and outpatient medical care.
  • National Coverage for inpatient and outpatient mental health care.
  • Coverage is currently active and maintained for the entire school year, including summers.
  • Offers an unlimited lifetime maximum.
  • Emergency and urgent care only coverage does not satisfy the requirement.
